Offshore call centre rates 2026
the full report

Dedicated-agent rates by country and by service, timezone overlap data, and what a fully loaded rate actually includes — published openly, updated July 2026, free to cite with attribution.

By Mohamed Hanafy — Founder, Speed Outsourcing Solutions · previously ran a 200-agent operation for Fantastic Services

Published rates are rare in the BPO industry, and not by accident. Most providers gate pricing behind a discovery call so they can quote each buyer at the top of what that buyer will tolerate. The result is a market where a genuinely comparable rate table is almost impossible to find — which is bad for buyers, and honestly bad for the industry too.

This report is our attempt to fix that. It contains three data tables: offshore call centre rates by country, Egypt rates by service, and timezone overlap for the five major offshore regions against UK, US East Coast, and Australian business hours. It was last updated in July 2026, and we refresh it as the market moves. Speed Outsourcing Solutions publishes its own real rates openly on our pricing page — the Egypt figures below are the same numbers a client actually pays, not marketing ranges.

Every table is written to stand alone, so journalists, researchers, and bloggers can quote any of them directly — see the citation note at the end.

Table 1 — Offshore call centre rates by country (updated July 2026)

Country / region Dedicated agent
per month, fully loaded
Approx. GBP
India $600 – $1,200 £470 – £940
Philippines $700 – $1,400 £550 – £1,100
Egypt (SOS published rates, varies by service) $850 – $3,000 £650 – £2,350
South Africa $1,200 – $2,000 £940 – £1,550
Eastern Europe $1,500 – $2,500 £1,150 – £1,950
UK onshore (outsourced) ~$2,800 – $4,100 £2,200 – £3,200
US onshore (outsourced) $3,500 – $5,500 £2,750 – £4,300

Monthly rates for one dedicated agent, fully loaded, updated July 2026. Egypt figures are Speed Outsourcing Solutions' own published rates and span simple customer service through complex roofing sales; other markets are ranges observed across provider-published pricing. GBP conversions are approximate.

Table 2 — Egypt call centre rates by service (SOS published pricing)

Country ranges hide the variable that actually moves price: what the agents do. These are the bands we publish and sell at, per dedicated agent per month, as of July 2026.

Service Rate (USD)
per agent / month
Rate (GBP)
Real estate cold calling & acquisitions $850 – $1,500 £650 – £1,200
HVAC appointment setting $850 – $1,500 £650 – £1,200
Roofing sales (insurance-literate) $2,000 – $3,000 £1,550 – £2,350
Customer service & support $850 – $2,000 £650 – £1,550

Speed Outsourcing Solutions published rates, July 2026. Roofing prices higher in every offshore market because agents who can handle insurance-claim conversations are scarce. To model what these seats return against your own volumes, use the ROI calculator.

Table 3 — Timezone overlap by offshore region (business hours)

Region UK (GMT/BST) US East (ET) Australia (AEST)
Egypt UTC+2/+3 Full day — only 2 hours ahead of the UK Meaningful afternoon overlap; an Egypt evening shift covers the full ET day Morning overlap on early shifts; full AU day needs a night shift
Philippines UTC+8 Evening shift required for the UK day Night shift required — but deeply established Near-full day — only 2–3 hours behind AEST
India UTC+5:30 Afternoon/evening shift covers the UK day Night shift required Morning overlap — India morning is AU afternoon
South Africa UTC+2 Full day — 1–2 hours ahead of the UK Afternoon overlap on standard shifts Minimal without night shifts
Eastern Europe UTC+1 to +3 Full day Morning overlap; late shifts extend it Minimal without night shifts

Overlap with standard 9am–5pm business hours in each destination market, July 2026. Night-shift operations exist in every region but add 15–40% to seat cost and increase attrition.

What a fully loaded offshore rate includes

The rates above are fully loaded: one monthly number that covers the agent's salary, a team leader across the pod, quality assurance with scored calls, call recordings, weekly reporting, facilities, equipment, and recruiting and replacement when an agent leaves. When a provider quotes you a seat price, that is the sentence to get in writing.

Onshore "fully loaded" comparisons routinely hide the same categories. A UK agent on a £28,000 salary does not cost £2,333 a month — employer National Insurance, pension contributions, holiday and sick cover, office space, software seats, and the recruiting cost of 30%+ annual attrition push the true figure toward the £2,200–£3,200 outsourced range, and often past it. The honest comparison is loaded-to-loaded, which is how every number in this report is stated. Methodology

Two sources. First, Speed Outsourcing Solutions' own published pricing — the Egypt figures are the rates we actually charge, listed openly on our pricing page. Second, market ranges observed across provider-published pricing in mid-2026 for the Philippines, India, South Africa, Eastern Europe, and onshore UK/US markets.

Two honest caveats. These are ranges, not quotes: your rate depends on service complexity, coverage hours, accent requirements, and seat count, and a specific programme can land outside a range. And variance inside each market is real — a boutique Manila provider and an enterprise BPO can quote the same seat 40% apart. Treat the table as a calibration tool for evaluating quotes, not a menu.

FAQ

Which country has the cheapest call centre rates in 2026?

India is the cheapest major offshore market in 2026 at $600–$1,200 (£470–£940) per dedicated agent per month, followed by the Philippines at $700–$1,400 and Egypt from $850, versus $3,500–$5,500 for US onshore seats. Cheapest rarely wins on voice work, though — accent fit, timezone overlap, and attrition decide whether a cheap seat actually converts.

Why does Egypt cost about the same as the Philippines but suit different buyers?

Egypt and the Philippines overlap heavily on price — roughly $850–$1,500 versus $700–$1,400 per agent per month for standard programmes — but Egypt sits 2 hours ahead of the UK while the Philippines sits 8, so UK and EU daytime work naturally fits Egypt and US night-shift work fits Manila. The full comparison is in our Egypt vs Philippines guide.

What does an onshore call centre agent really cost?

A fully loaded onshore agent costs £2,200–£3,200 (~$2,800–$4,100) per month outsourced in the UK and $3,500–$5,500 in the US, once employer NI or payroll taxes, benefits, office space, software, and 30%+ annual attrition are added to base salary. Quoted salaries alone understate the true monthly cost by roughly 40–60%, which is why loaded-to-loaded is the only fair comparison.

Can I cite these rates, and where do they come from?

Yes — every figure in this report is free to cite with attribution to "Speed Outsourcing Solutions, Offshore Call Centre Rates Report 2026, sosbpo.com," and the data comes from SOS's own published July 2026 pricing plus market ranges observed across provider-published rates. The Egypt numbers are actual selling prices rather than estimates, which is unusual in an industry that gates pricing behind sales calls.
